Joy – How God gives us joy

Isaiah 60:5 – Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy;

Joy is a product of sight. When you see your countenance changes. When you see, you can rejoice even in unpleasant situations.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 – But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

The bible says, the Holy spirit will show us things to come. It is when our eyes are opened, when we see that we can truly be joyful despite contrary events in our environment. Prayer is one place where the Holy spirit opens our eyes.

This is why in the presence of God there is fullness of joy. God is light, in His presence we see. In His presence, He lightens our darkness, He opens our eyes and what we see triggers joy.

If there is a concern that has brought sorrow to your heart, I encourage you to seek God’s thoughts concerning it. When God opens your eyes concerning that situation, I assure you, you would come forth dancing. Seek Him, His ways are higher.  Once He shows you, make a decision to focus and rejoice in that until the earth yields its increase.
