ONE WAY TO MAKE YOUR LIFE FRUITFUL

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” Psalm 1:3

in this verse, the bible likens a Blessed man to a tree planted by the rivers of water. Like a tree the man bear fruits, his leaves do not wither and he prospers. I have declared and prayed this scripture for years but recently the Holy Spirit taught me sometime from it.

A tree once planted does not move from one location to another. A tree once planted isn’t uprooted and replanted every month or every year. One major characteristic of a tree is that it is stable, it stays firmly rooted until it grows and bears fruits.

If God likens a blessed man to a tree, there must be certain characteristics he exhibits similar to that of a tree. One of such is the ability to stay planted on a spot until he bears fruits. So many times, in search for success or greener pastures we have a tendency to jump from one thing to another. One career path to another, one business to another, one strategy to another. We do not stay on any path long enough to bear fruits.

In this age of social media, the pressure to jump ships is even higher. We see others succeed in an area and we think doing what they are doing is the solution to our problems. We switch but when challenges show up, we look for the next bright idea. Hopping from one idea to the other would never lead to fruitfulness. In order to bear fruits, we must learn to stay planted on a path long enough for the fruits to be made manifest.

There is something you are created to do, you are designed for a purpose. Challenge yourself today to find out what you are created for and stay that path until you bear fruits. You cannot be fruitful without stability; a tree is stable. You cannot be fruitful until like a tree you decided to be planted on a certain path and you stay the course. Stay planted, cultivate your life and be fruitful.
